It's been two long years without indication of any new solo music from Kendrick Lamar. After curating the soundtrack for the Academy Award Best Picture nominated film Black Panther, Lamar has remained silent ever since. But when he returns, he guarantees to make an impact.
Just last month, Kendrick Lamar returned to social media without saying a word but simply promoting his new company pg-Lang. Leaving fans in a frenzy while also confusing them along the way, the company launched alongside frequent collaborator Dave Free, was announced with various videos which starred both rappers as well as Baby Keem, Jorja Smith, and Yara Shahidi. It was then revealed that pg-Lang is an "at service company", with the focus on delivering "stories that speak to many nations, many races, and many ages".
Not much has happened since then, nor has the TDE rapper revealed any plans on a new album, but it looks like new information will begin to rollout. Rapper Tabius posed alongside Kendrick Lamar on a new photo posted on Instagram. Why exactly is this information important? Well, the caption indicates that Kendrick now has his own label as the rapper wrote "family over everything @kendricklamar got his own label".
As more information begins to unravel, this may or may not be an indication to the beginning of a new Kendrick Lamar era.
