Spring Break and Spring Breakers

It’s spring break season, so why not revisit the cult classic, ‘Spring Breakers’? The polarizing film has centered itself amongst the distasteful portrayal of exploitation, and the extremes of youth culture.
Basically a film about nonsense, it’s hyper-sexualized, reliant on visually appealing aesthetics, and the fantasies of spring break, it’s so bad, yet so good. Harmony Korine created a film questioning the depths of wilding out while you’re young, and the reckless behaviors of the youth, making us wonder if the experience of spring break is all just a fantasy that you see on the big screen.
