It’s been nearly twenty years since the tragic death of R&B sensation Aaliyah Haughton. The singer was unfortunately involved in a horrific plane crash in 2001 and lost her life at the age of 22.
Since her tragic passing, fans have been rallying for her music to be made available on streaming. The singer’s estate has been hesitant on making her music accessible to the public. Despite her 1994 debut album Age Ain’t Nothing But A Number available to be streamed on certain services, the rest of her catalog has remained secured by her estate which includes her sophomore album One in a Million, and the 2001 self-titled album
But now, it looks like that is going to change. On the 19thanniversary of the singer’s death, the Aaliyah Estate caused a frenzy after announcing that they’ve been in contact with various record labels to make her catalog available across services.
Stay tuned for an update in the near future.
