A back-and-forth twitter exchange between Kid Cudi and The Weeknd has fans on the edge of their seats for a possible collaboration between the two artists. On Thursday afternoon, Cudi took to twitter to build anticipation for his upcoming HBO drama series We Are Who We Are which will be airing in September. Unfortunately some fans mistaken the show for a possible solo project, which Cudi quickly cleared up. But in the middle of the confusion, another fan chimed in and asked Cudi about a possible collaboration with The Weeknd in the nearby future.
😭 hahaha lets get it!! https://t.co/P1s9HRxPxP— The Chosen One (@KidCudi) May 7, 2020
Both Abel and Cudi responded to the subject matter enthusiastically. Following the exchange, fans became elated with the possibility of an official collaboration between the two artists. But this wouldn’t be the first time both Abel and Cudi worked together. Back in October of last year, Abel hosted his Memento Mori radio show on Apple Music with a Halloween edition which was hosted by Kerwin Frost. During Frost’s exclusive set, he premiered a Kid Cudi remix of the My Dear Melancholy track, “Privilege”. Unfortunately the song hasn’t been officially released.
But for now, Kid Cudi is continuing to celebrate his first No.1 Billboard Hot 100 hit as his song with Travis Scott “The Scotts” debuted at the top.
