In October of 2019, Frank Ocean launched a series of weekly club events called "PrEP+" held in New York City. The ultra-exclusive event paid homage to what could've been of the 1980's club scene. To match the vision, Frank Ocean premiered unreleased tracks that were revamped in the sound of electronic and house music.
One of the songs that were premiered was Dear April, which was remixed by electronic duo, Justice. In April of this year Frank finally released the song but not the remix that was promised.
Frank Ocean also released vinyl’s of the remix that was promised to be shipped, but instead released the original version. The Justice remix immediately surfaced on the internet following its premiere in the club but have now been removed. But the official ED Banger Instagram account managed to post a one-minute snippet of the song. Listen to the snippet below:
