Miguel Premieres Official Music Video for “Funeral”

Better late than never? Nearly a year later since releasing the song, Miguel shares the official music video for “Funeral”.

The sinister visual captures the dark aura of the pulsating, and electro-driven number. Centered around death and sex, the song comes to life with the black-and-white video which arrived on Friday.

Miguel is seen crucified, as lays on a mattress wit’s a nearly nude woman posing in front of him. As he then lays in his own coffin, more women arrive as they continue to pray around him.

Last year, Miguel unveiled that the song is the title-track for his forthcoming EP that was initially set to be released last winter. While release plans have changed, he reassures that the EP will be the fourth installment of his Art Dealer Chic EP:

I took a long hiatus from the business of music to reassess my objective as a creator,” he said. “The Art Dealer Chic EPs have always been reserved for freedom, self-curation and honest expression without the influence of music industry politics. I’m excited to introduce my fans to a very different world in my creative expression, and that begins with ADC 4”.
