Ragers 4 Life: Travis Scott and Kid Cudi Premiere New Song, “The Scotts”

Fortnite and Travis Scott Present: Astronomical. A one of a kind musical journey in which Travis Scott will be delivering virtual shows across the globe. In support of this, Travis Scott exclusively premiered a new song featuring Kid Cudi.

The Scott’s is the world premiere that Fortnite revealed during the big announcement. Following the premeire, Kid Cudi took to instagram to announce that the two have formed a group of the same name, making the song the debut single by The Scotts. The song marks the first Travis Scott and Kid Cudi collaboration since 2018.

On Travis Scott’s sophomore album, Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight, Cudi assisted Scott on the song Through The Late Night. On the song, Travis interpolates lyrics to Kid Cudi’s debut single, Day N’ Nite. Months later, Travis Scott returned the favor as he was featured on Kid Cudi’s album, Passion Pain Demon Slayin on the song, Baptized In Fire. Scott Mescudi returned back to work on Scott's discography as a feature on 2018's ASTROWORLD on the song Stop Trying To Be God

Prior to collaborating, Travis Scott spoke highly about the impact Cudi has had on him. Beyond the inspirations on his artistry, Travis acknowledged the impact Cudi has had to the point where he admits he saved his life. During an interview with Hot 97, Travis Scott said himself the only person he wanted acceptance from was Kid Cudi, and what we all find great from Travis is the passion he emulated from Cudi’s dedication to the youth, and how he taught a entire generation and the next wave of artists that followed him the insights to grow up and be who you want to be.
