Terrace Martin, Denzel Curry, Kamasi Washington, G Perico, and Daylyt | “Pig Feet” Track Review

Overwhelmingly weighing the emotions of the ongoing reality of what it means to be a black man in America, Terrace Martin releases a new song featuring Denzel Curry, Kamasi Washington, G Perico, and Daylyt titled “Pig Feet”.
Rallying against police brutality — the emcees are angry, sad, and ultimately exhausted. The new protest anthem is a raw response to the events that are happening right outside of our windows. Such a statement that introduces the video to the song that is entirely made of clips of recent events.
Amid the gut-wrenching recent murder of George Floyd by a police officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Terrace Martin enlists fellow black rappers to come together and combine their emotions of shared experiences that only they, and their community, can relate to. The outcome is nothing but truth. A confessional that conveys the emotions of frustrations and the demand of change.
Over a jazzy instrumental, each rapper express their emotions in necessary statements that needs to be heard. It’s a new age protest song — one that has arrived in a time where the revolution is being televised.
