Travis Scott details what to expect with his forthcoming album ‘Utopia’, in the latest issue of i-D magazine. The rapper gets interviewed by acclaimed filmmaker, Robert Rodriguez, the man behind iconic films such as ‘From Dusk Till Dawn’ and ‘Sin City’.
When asked on who’s he working with for the new album, Travis remained secretive as he proclaims that he’s trying to make “a new sound”. He says:
“ Ahh man, you know, it’s so crazy. I never tell people this, and I’m probably going to keep it a secret still, but I’m working with some new people and I’m just trying to expand the sound. I’ve been making beats again, rapping on my own beats, just putting everything together and trying to grow it really. That’s been one of the most fun things about working on this album. I’m evolving, collaborating with new people, delivering a whole new sound, a whole new range”.
When asked on how’s he’s going to top his previous effort, ‘ASTROWORLD’, he guarantees that he’s just trying to make a new saga. As Travis says, “ It’s never about repeating myself, I’m just trying to make the next saga… each album is like a saga. You know, you’re one of my favourite directors. Everything you fucking do man”.
